WATER TUBE BOILER:

A once-through water tube boiler that features a positive displacement pump to supply steady feedwater. According to the fuel/air ratio curve, the flow of water to the coils directly relates to the amount of fuel and combustion air used. 90% of the water is transformed into steam in the coils. The steam separator then generates dry steam. A steam trap removes the residual water.

FIRETUBE BOILER:

A rapid breach in the shell of a firetube (big volume) boiler can result in a significant drop in pressure across the entire water body. The resultant massive amount of flash steam has the potential to explode with great force. Similar to Miura’s technique, single-pass-through boilers have isolated tubes that can each contain a certain amount of water.
